In the past week,

I have started writing my poems. I have sectioned it into 4 parts to accommodate the laundrette I started off at, then the restaurant/cafe on Granby Street, the charity shop and potentially the barbers. I am not a very skilled photographer, so trying to find someone to take photos of Granby Street has been quite hard but I did manage to get some photos. I have also had a mini BBC Radio interview where I talked about the project and why Granby Street.

What next?

I am working on finishing the poems for this coming Friday eek! I might need more time just to tighten the parts that need a bit more editing. I have also included a snippets of the poem I wrote about a restaurant on Granby and laundrette not far from it.

At the edge of Granby

We are sat loving the

years that roll by. The

People we tucked in

corner of our restaurant.

Laundrette

In this place, we dry everything

our duvets, our uniforms, our

clothes that won’t get to see

the summer until the following year.
